"Die 28-jährige Dozentin Giulia entdeckt in der Uni einen Toten. Aus politischem Kalkül will man den Mord in der Uni flach halten. Die Untersuchung leitet Kommissar Savelli, den Giulia vor einigen Jahren bei der Aufklärung am Mord eines Freundes kennen und schätzen gelernt hat. Doch Giulia entwickelt sich zum eigentlichen Motor der Ermittlungen. Die Dinge spitzen sich in beachtlichem Tempo zu und Spuren führen in weit zurückliegende politische Machenschaften der vermeintlichen Elite des Landes. Die beherzt agierende Giulia deckt verfilzte und mafiöse Strukturen auf.

Marika Patroni Griffi, geboren in Trani/Apulien, studierte Philosophie in Florenz. Sie arbeitete als Lehrerin, schrieb als freie Filmjournalistin für Kulturmagazine und veröffentlichte insgesamt drei Romane um ihre Protagonistin Giulia Petrone. Die Autorin verstarb 2006 während der Fertigstellung ihres dritten Buches.

The visual artist rooster through his work granule renegotiates our relationship with the cityscape.

Using the persistence of an archivist and the methodology of an urban planner, rooster selects integral pieces of a city's architecture and he modifies / repairs them, intending on a mild visual intervention on the cityscape.

The evaluation of uniqueness for every spot (historical, cultural, economic, etc) in combination with the use of a non binding technique for each one of them, creates an exclusive comment / intervention on the relationship between human and urban environment.

Addressing on the relocation of resident's / observer's point of view, rooster actualizes small "weirdnesses" betting that either for a second either forever is possible to change the perception about what is familiar and the conviction about what constitutes the personal and communal history of people's everyday life.

During the project, rooster will present on the web visual material and notes from the planning and the realization of his artwork.

"The ghost of an actress visits the theater in which she once played. Frank, a returned veteran, is on the run for a crime that is both sinister and absurd. An archivist discovers a mysterious script hunted by three masked men. The surreal netherworld in which these three characters never quite meet is The Earlville Opera House, where once upon a time a musical was staged, "Little Athens on the Erie Canal." We eternally return to an elaborate architecture from which there is no hope of escape.

We made this film in response to our own questions about censorship. We have found that at times, artists are their own worst censors. Still we fight to express ourselves and encourage other artists in a world that is often not hospitable to their creativity.

HOLY BLOOD will be screened in cinemas and festivals across the US and internationally.

An experimental poetic work spun from a train-rush of collective imprints of war and idiosyncratic archiving as memory, “Archivist’s” multi-stream image collages scroll or overlap within the larger frame, as a poetic thread fuses with acoustic compositions. Arching from the collective to the personal – themes of war and sanctioned abuse move through touchstone-images of grizzly conflict to ancient texts. These mix with more subterranean themes and finally trundle towards a meditation on personal cargo and mortality. “Archivist” is as much about the act or urge of archiving as antiwar piece or memento mori. As the subtitle’s contrasting meanings for ‘cleaving’ suggest, our attempts to categorize often are inherently unstable, double edged and can become blind and useless.
