This is a short film production for my thesis presentation.The thesis initially began as a simple questioning of the reasons behind the shortening of architectural lifespan.
It quickly unfolded into a study of relationship between architecture, information and perception and later developing into an architectural thought experiment involving augmented reality and a film archive.
The entire thesis project was translated into a film that follows a little girl’s journey from the augmented, local archive to the distant underground film archive. The narrative attempts to illustrate both the apparent and the underlying design-social implications dawning for the new augmented era.
The particular proposition of this thesis project is portraying merely one of the infinite probabilities of a new kind of architectural longevity;
there are many more to explore.
